Introduction : Bangladesh and India share a complex history. This study explores the July Movement’s impact, China’s regional influence, geopolitical shifts, and domestic political changes on their bilateral ties, assessing current dynamics and future developments. Research Questions : Q1.To what extent did the July Movement in Bangladesh impact bilateral relations between India and Bangladesh? Q2.How might emerging geopolitical dynamics and domestic political changes in both countries impact the future trajectory of Bangladesh-India relations? Hypothesis : This research hypothesizes that the July Movement in Bangladesh has significantly influenced Bangladesh-India bilateral relations by reshaping diplomatic engagements and regional power dynamics. Additionally, it predicts that emerging geopolitical factors, including China's regional influence and domestic political changes in both countries, will lead to shifts in diplomatic priorities, either strengthening or straining future relations. Literature Review : Purpose This research explores the intricate dynamics of ties between Bangladesh and India, evaluating how their interactions have been shaped historically and currently. It further analyses the changing roles of domestic political environments and global changes, with a focus on the July Movement's effects. The study intends to offer important insights into the course of this critical bilateral relationship and its possible future scenarios by examining these crucial aspects. Theoretical Framework This literature review analyzes election manipulation using essential theoretical frameworks by investigating power dynamics, institutional factors, and external interventions: Realism – Assesses power struggles and national interests. Institutional Theory – Explores the role of political and legal structures in election integrity. Geopolitical Theory – Examines external influences, particularly China’s strategic role. Research Methods Dependent Variables: Bangladesh-India Relations: Measured through diplomacy, trade, and joint projects. Future Relations: Assessed through policy statements, strategic partnerships, and regional cooperation. Independent Variables: July Movement in Bangladesh: Its impact on domestic politics and bilateral ties. Geopolitical Factors: China’s Belt and Road Initiative and U.S.-India strategic relations.
