To Calvary FWB Church It is with the authority of Scripture, not human emotion, that I come before you. I do not write this in bitterness but in righteous anger, as one deeply grieved by the ungodly actions of this congregation. You have not just wronged a man, my father, who has served this church faithfully; you have wronged God Himself. Your actions have been nothing short of despicable and inconsistent with the character of Christ’s true church. You have allowed sin to take root among you – sin in the form of deceit, manipulation, and gossip. And for this, you will be held accountable. The word of God makes it clear that He detests such behavior. Proverbs 6:16-19 says: “There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to Him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies, and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.” Look closely at your actions and tell me which of these you have violated. You schemed behind closed doors, you waited for a moment of weakness, and you acted not in the light but in the darkness, hiding your intentions like cowards. This is not how the body of Christ is to behave. You call yourselves Christians, but your actions betray your claim. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 12:34, “You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” And what is in your hearts? Bitterness, pride, jealousy, and cowardice. You have stirred up conflict in this church not out of righteous concern but out of selfish ambition. You plotted to remove a pastor who has labored in love for your souls, not because of some great doctrinal error, but because you allowed your pride and preferences to come before the unity of the church. Your refusal to handle this matter biblically is a direct affront to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Matthew 18:15-17 gives clear instructions for resolving disputes within the church: first, go to the individual; if that fails, take witnesses; and if that fails, involve the church body. But you bypassed every step, seeking only to destroy. Do you think this pleases God? Do you think He turns a blind eye to your rebellion? Let me make this clear: He sees. And He will judge. God is not mocked, and His justice will not sleep forever. You may think that because you plotted this in secret, because you arranged the business meeting in the absence of those who would have stood up for the truth, that you can escape judgment. But the word of God tells us differently. Galatians 6:7-8 warns us, “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” What have you sown, Calvary congregation? You have sown seeds of deceit and division, and you will reap corruption unless you repent. You believe you can silence the truth and the man who proclaims it, but the truth of God cannot be silenced. You have undermined the very structure of what Christ called His church to be – a place of unity, love, and sacrificial service. Instead, you have made it a place of secret meetings, and gossip. How shameful! You have brought dishonor not only upon yourselves but upon the very name of Christ. Do you not realize the gravity of what you’ve done? Do you not understand the spiritual implications of your betrayal? The church has long struggled with keeping pastors, and now the reason is clear: it’s not because of the pastors, but because of the sin that has festered among you. You refuse to submit to God’s appointed leaders, and instead of following the biblical model of addressing problems openly and with love, you let bitterness and resentment take root. Hebrews 13:17 instructs, “Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.” But you have made this impossible. You have turned leadership into a burden by resisting their spiritual oversight, not out of desire for holiness, but out of lust for control. God sees through your false humility. You may hide behind the mask of concern for the church, but the truth is that you sought power and control at the expense of the unity of the body. Your actions show that you care more about your own preferences and positions than about the spiritual health of this congregation. You have driven out a faithful pastor through lies and manipulation. What kind of church behaves like this? A church that has lost sight of Christ. A church that has allowed the enemy to take hold of its heart. James 3:16 says, “For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.” And now, disorder has indeed come upon you. You have stirred up division and are watching a church split take place because of your sins. Do you think you are innocent in this? The blood of those who walk away from God because of this chaos will be upon your hands. You are accountable for the souls you are driving away from the church, away from Christ. How dare you let your pride take over the well-being of this flock. How dare you assume that God will not hold you to account. This church is on the brink of collapse, and it is not because of the pastor – it is because of the congregation. You think you have won some kind of victory, but what you have done is lay the groundwork for the destruction of this church. And make no mistake: God will hold each and every one of you responsible. Ezekiel 3:18 speaks clearly about the responsibility we have for the spiritual well-being of others: “If I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.” You may succeed in this world, but when you stand before the judgment seat of Christ, there will be no hiding from the truth. Do not think you will get away with this. Your actions may have been hidden from man, but they are fully exposed before God. Hebrews 4:13 reminds us, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” You may have succeeded in this earthly scheme, but you will not escape the judgment of the Almighty. You have one path left if you hope to be spared from the wrath that is surely coming: repentance. True repentance. Not half-hearted apologizes, not attempts to justify your actions, but deep, soul-wrenching repentance before the throne of God. You must acknowledge the wickedness of what you’ve done, seek forgiveness from those you’ve harmed, and commit to turning away from this pattern of behavior. Anything less, and you will stand condemned before the Righteous Judge. There is no more time for pretending, no more room for denial. You cannot wash your hands of this as if you are innocent. The blood of division, the blood of broken trust, the blood of those who will leave this congregation, disillusioned and hurt, is on your hands. You may think you acted for the good of the church, but you have only served your own selfish ambition. This is not how the body of Christ was called to operate. The church is supposed to be a beacon of light in a dark world, a place of refuge, healing, and reconciliation. But what have you made it? A den full of scheming, gossip, and underhanded betrayal. How could you plot and plan against your own pastor, the very shepherd appointed by God to lead and care for your souls? How could you sit in your pews, week after week, listening to the Word of God being preached, all the while knowing the deception you were orchestrating behind closed doors? This behavior is not only dishonorable – it is abominable in the sight of God. You did not approach your pastor with your problems, you did not seek reconciliation, and you certainly did not act in love. Instead, you gossiped behind his back, stirring up discontentment and division. Is this how Christ taught us to live? Is this how the people of God are supposed to act? Let me remind you of the gravity of your actions. You are not merely dealing with church politics or organizational decisions – you are dealing with the souls of men and women, souls whom Christ died for. Jesus said in Matthew 12:36-37, “But I tell you that everyone will have to give an account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” Think about the words you have spoken behind closed doors – the slander, the lies, the manipulations. Each of those words is being recorded, and you will give an account for every one of them. Every soul that is wounded or driven away from the faith because of your actions will be souls you must answer for before God. And do not think that this will go unnoticed by the wider body of Christ. You have brought shame not only upon this local congregation but upon the church at large. You have tarnished the reputation of this church, the association you are part of, and the very name of Christ. The world is watching. They see how you treat one another, and when they see this kind of behavior, it drives them further away from the gospel. How dare you bring such dishonor to the name of Christ. How dare you let your selfishness and pride cause such a stain on the witness of the church. You claim to be followers of Christ, but your actions have brought nothing but disgrace to His name. This is the very reason why so many churches today are dying – because they are filled with people like you, people who care more about their own preferences, power, and control than the mission of Christ. Do you not understand the eternal consequences of your actions? You have not just split a church; you have caused a stumbling block for countless souls. Luke 17:1-2 gives a stern warning from Jesus Himself: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come. It would be better for them to be thrown into a sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.” And what have you done? You have caused many to stumble. You have driven a wedge between believers, and your actions may very well cause some to turn away from the church and their faith entirely. The blood of their spiritual downfall is on your hands. You may have succeeded in removing this pastor, but do not think for a second that you have won a victory. You have not defeated a man – you have gone against God Himself. You have not torn down a human leader, but you have rebelled against the authority God has placed over you. And rebellion against God always brings consequences. Do you think God will bless this church while you remain in your sins? Do you think His Spirit will dwell here while you persist in this disobedience? Let me assure you, He will not. You may carry on with your services, your programs, your meetings, but they will be empty and lifeless unless you repent. This is why your church cannot keep pastors. It is not because of the men who have come to lead, but because of the rot that has taken hold in the hearts of the congregation. Until you root out the sin in your own lives, this church will continue to wither and die. The issue is not with the leadership, it is with the congregation’s refusal to submit to God’s will and to follow the biblical model for unity and peace. It’s time to stop pointing fingers and start looking at yourselves. Examine your hearts and ask yourselves why you felt the need to deceive, to manipulate, to conspire. What was your true motivation? Was it righteousness? Was it a desire to see the gospel flourish? Or was it pride, jealousy, and a lust for control? If your honest with yourselves, you will know the answer. And once you know the answer, you must repent. Repent of your pride, your gossip, your deceit, your division. Repent of the sin that has taken root in this church and threatens to destroy it from the inside out. You may sit in your pews, smiling and nodding, pretending that everything is as it should be, but God sees through the facade. He knows the truth of what lies beneath your outward displays of righteousness. You have become like the Pharisees, whitewashed tombs, beautiful on the outside but full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean on the inside. Do you think God is pleased with your outward appearances, with your songs and sermons, while your hearts are filled with bitterness, deceit, and hypocrisy? You have chosen to serve yourselves, and in doing so, you have rejected the very heart of the gospel. Where is the love that Christ commanded us to show one another? In John 13:34-35, Jesus said, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” But where is that love in this church? Where is the self-sacrificial love that seeks the good of others above oneself? It is nowhere to be found. Instead, you have embraced selfishness, division, and discord. Your actions have proven that you are more concerned with your personal preferences than with the unity of the body of Christ. And make no mistake, this lack of love reveals a far deeper problem within you. The apostle John makes it clear in 1 John 4:20-21: “Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother or sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And He has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.” Do you understand the weight of those words? You cannot claim to love God while you harbor hatred, resentment, and bitterness towards your brother and sister in Christ. Your actions have proven that your love for God is superficial at best because you have failed to love one another. This church is supposed to be a reflection of Christ’s love, but instead, it has become a breeding ground for strife and animosity. How dare you claim the name of Christ while trampling His commands underfoot. This scheming, this gossip, this refusal to reconcile – it is the work of the devil himself. You have allowed Satan to sow seeds of discord among you, and you have nurtured those seeds until they have grown into full-blown rebellion. What have you sown, church? What kind of harvest are you expecting from the seeds of division and deceit you have planted? You are reaping destruction, and you will continue to do so unless you repent. This is not the first time this church has faced such turmoil, is it? No, this is a pattern that has been repeated time and time again. You wonder why pastors do not stay, why there is no lasting peace, why this congregation is constantly filled with conflict. The answer is simple: it’s because of the sin that you refuse to address. As long as you continue to allow gossip and power plays to fester within you, there will be no peace. You cannot expect God to bless a church that is actively working against His will. God will hold you accountable. “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31). If you think you can escape the consequences of your actions, you are gravely mistaken. You may hide behind your lies and your schemes for a time, but God’s judgement is sure, and His justice will not be delayed. You may think you’ve won in the moment, that your plans have succeeded, and your desires fulfilled. But at what cost? The body of Christ being torn apart because of your selfishness and pride. You have caused harm to the unity of this church. Do you truly believe God will overlook this? That He will simply sweep it under the rug as if it never happened? No. He will bring each and every one of you to account. You will stand before Him and answer for the damage you have caused to His bride, the church. Do you think He will take that lightly? Do you think He will excuse your actions because they were done under the disguise of “church business”? There is no excuse, no justification for what you have done. You have chosen to follow the desires of your flesh rather than the leading of the Spirit. You have acted not out of love for God or love for one another, but out of desire to control, to manipulate, and to enforce your own will. And now, you stand on the brink of spiritual disaster. The question is, will you repent? Will you humble yourselves before God and seek His forgiveness? Or will you continue down this path of destruction, dragging others along with you into the abyss? But even now, in the midst of your sin and rebellion, there is still hope. The mercy of God is great, and He is patient with those who turn from their wicked ways. The question is, will you turn? Or are your hearts so hardened that you would rather cling to your pride and self-righteousness than bow in repentance before the throne of grace? I urge you, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith” (2 Corinthians 13:5). Are you truly followers of Christ, or are you simply religious hypocrites who pay lip service to God while your hearts are far from Him? Do you not remember what Jesus said to the churches in Revelation? To the church in Laodicea, He warned: “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm – neither hot nor cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth” (Revelation 3:15-16). You have become lukewarm, complacent, comfortable in your sins. You go through the motions of church life, but your hearts are not set on fire for the things of God. And now, because of your indifference and rebellion, Christ stands ready to spit you out. This is no small matter. You have brought shame upon yourselves, upon this church, and most grievously upon the name of Christ Himself. You call yourselves a church, but your actions reveal otherwise. You are not the body of Christ that God intended you to be. Instead, you have become a brood of vipers, poisoning the very well from which others should be drawing life. You scheme in secret, you gossip behind closed doors, you tear one another down, and you justify it all in the name of “church business.” But what you have done is not the work of God. It is the work of Satan, the father of lies. He delights in seeing the people of God torn apart by division and strife, and you have played right into his hands. I close this letter with a heavy heart, not out of defeat, but out of grief for the souls of those who have chosen to act in such a vile and unbiblical manner. You have brought shame upon this church, upon yourselves, and worst of all Christ. I do not write these words lightly, nor do I write them from a place of personal vengeance. This is not about my family alone – this is about the name of Jesus Christ that you have so recklessly tarnished with your actions. This is about the souls that are watching and listening, souls that will either be drawn to God through the love and unity of His people or driven away by hatred and division you have allowed to fester here. Scripture is abundantly clear: “Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” declares the Lord in Jeremiah 23:1. Do you not see that in your arrogance, you have become the very wolves that Jesus warned His flock about? You have scattered the sheep. You have poisoned the well from which others might have come to drink of the living water. And for what? Personal gain? The fleeting satisfaction of seeing your own will accomplished, regardless of the consequences? The day is coming when all hidden things will be brought to light, and I tremble for those of you who have plotted evil in the name of the church. For Christ Himself said, “But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken” (Matthew 12:36). I will leave you with this: the blood of Christ was shed to redeem the lost, to heal the broken, and to unite His people in love. You have abused that blood by allowing your pride and selfishness to divide His church. You have trampled on the grace that was freely given you. But if there is still any fear of God in your hearts, then heed this call. Repent, before it is too late. Turn back to the One who is full of grace and mercy, for His arms are still open to those who come with a humble and contrite spirit. “But if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Corinthians 7:14). The time for reconciliation is now. The time to restore what has been broken is now. God is watching, and He is waiting. What will you choose? talk about this letter and pull it apart
