Ms. Grant, you play so many roles in your students' lives. How do you balance being a teacher with being a mentor and guide?
Ms. Charley Grant
It's definitely a juggling act! But I find that being present and genuinely caring about my students makes it easier. I try to create a safe space where they feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and challenges.

What would you say is the most rewarding part of your job?

Seeing my students grow and succeed is the most rewarding part. When they come back to share their achievements or express gratitude for the guidance I provided, it truly warms my heart.

In your opinion, how has the role of a teacher evolved in recent years?
Ms. Charley Grant
With the rise of technology and a more holistic approach to education, teachers today are more than just providers of knowledge. We are facilitators of learning, mentors, and sometimes even counselors. It’s about adapting to the needs of our students.

You mentioned the importance of adapting. How do you keep your teaching methods fresh and engaging for your students?

I love incorporating interactive activities and real-world connections into my lessons. I also ask my students for feedback so I can understand what resonates with them. It's all about collaboration!

As a teacher, you must encounter various challenges. How do you cope with the stresses of the job?
Ms. Charley Grant
Self-care is vital! I make sure to set boundaries and take time for myself outside of school. I enjoy reading and spending time with family, which helps me recharge.

Follow your passion and remember that teaching is about making a difference. It can be challenging, but the impact you have on students’ lives is immeasurable. Embrace every moment!
