Hey everyone! So, let’s talk about learning English. You know, they say the first step to fluency is admitting you’re not fluent. So, I’m here to say, 'Hi! I’m Leo, and I still think 'fluent' means I can order coffee without stuttering.'

Learning English is like being in a relationship, right? You keep saying, 'I’m fluent!' but deep down, you know you’re still at that awkward 'Hello, how are you?' phase. And just like a bad date, you sit there sweating, praying they don’t ask you anything complex like, 'What do you think about the socio-economic impact of Brexit?' I mean, come on! I can barely explain why I have pineapple on pizza!

Raise your hand if you’ve ever tried to impress someone with your English and ended up saying something completely ridiculous! (Waits for audience reaction) Yeah? I once told someone I was 'a great egg' instead of 'a great guy'. They just stared at me like I was about to hatch! What’s the craziest thing you’ve said in English? (Choose someone from the audience to share.)

And let’s talk vocabulary! Learning new words feels like playing Pokémon. You’re out here trying to catch 'em all, but you never know when you’ll need 'quintessentially' or 'baskerville'. Meanwhile, I just want to know how to ask for a bathroom and not sound like a tourist in a horror movie! 'Excuse me, where can I find the loo?' And they look at you like you just summoned a demon!

Grammar rules in English? Don’t get me started! They’re like that one friend who gives you bad advice. 'Never split an infinitive!' they say. What is this, the grammar police? I just want to speak! Can we not just agree that 'to boldly go' sounds cooler than 'to go boldly'? Come on, Shakespeare would have been like, 'Dude, just say what you mean!'

In the end, every time you make a mistake while learning a language, an angel gets its wings… and a fit of laughter. So keep practicing, keep laughing, and remember: language is just a tool to connect with others, even if that connection starts with a laugh over how you just called your teacher 'mama' instead of 'ma'am'. Thank you, everyone! You've been great!
