Rahm Kota's story begins on a war-torn planet where he fought in brutal trench warfare from a young age. At eighteen, he was discovered by Jedi Mace Windu, who recognized his Force-sensitivity and took him to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Despite being well past the traditional age of acceptance, Kota was trained by Master Yoda and rose to become a respected Jedi Knight. His gruff and forthright personality often earned him few friends, but no one doubted his commitment to the Republic and the Jedi Order.

During the Clone Wars, Kota was appointed as a Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic. However, he did not believe that clone troopers were fit for battle and instead commanded his own militia, comprising volunteers from across the galaxy. Kota and his militia fought with distinction on several fronts, including successful offensives in the Outer Rim Territories. His refusal to lead clone troopers ultimately saved his life when Order 66 was issued, as he had no clone forces under his command.

When Order 66 was issued, Kota and his militia went into hiding. They stole a Republic cruiser and disappeared into the Outer Rim, his fears about the fall of the Jedi and the Republic becoming reality. Kota began striking back at Imperial targets, leading well-executed raids and maintaining communications with other surviving Jedi. His main aim was to draw out Darth Vader and eliminate the Dark Lord.

Kota's efforts to draw out Darth Vader culminated in a mission to seize a TIE Fighter Construction Facility in orbit of Nar Shaddaa. Despite his best efforts, Kota was confronted by Vader's secret apprentice, Galen Marek, and was beaten and blinded. This defeat left him disillusioned, and he turned to drinking and went into hiding in Cloud City on Bespin.

Kota's life took a dramatic turn when he was found by Galen Marek, the same apprentice who had blinded him. Marek, disillusioned with Vader, sought Kota's help in fighting the Empire. Through the Force, Kota sensed a bright spot within Marek and agreed to help. Together, they gathered key allies, including Senators Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, and Garm Bel Iblis, and formally established the Alliance to Restore the Republic.

As a general in the Rebel Alliance, Kota led numerous operations against the Empire. One of his most significant missions was the assault on the Imperial shipyard over Raxus Prime, which he coordinated with Galen Marek. Kota's leadership and strategic acumen were crucial in the success of these operations, helping to disrupt Imperial forces and gain momentum for the Rebellion.

Kota's role in the Rebellion extended to recruiting new members, including the Force-sensitive clone X2. X2, the genetic 'son' of Kota's former Padawan Falon Grey, joined the Alliance and played a crucial role in missions, including the infiltration of Desolation Station and the rescue of a Rebel strike team on Geonosis. During the Death Star campaign, Kota and X2 worked together to gather intelligence and rescue prisoners, contributing to the eventual destruction of the superweapon.

Rahm Kota's legacy in the Rebel Alliance is one of resilience, leadership, and strategic brilliance. His unwavering commitment to the cause of freedom and his ability to inspire and lead others were instrumental in the formation and success of the Alliance. Kota's story is a reminder of the enduring power of hope and the importance of standing up against tyranny.
