You recently left Habertürk after many years. Can you share what led to your decision and how you felt about that transition?

Fatih Altaylı

Leaving Habertürk was not an easy choice, but it felt necessary at this point in my life. I wanted to make sure that my presence there didn’t become a burden on my colleagues or on the media outlet itself. Turkey is entering a new phase, and I wanted to explore new horizons and share my voice in a different way.

Reflecting on the media landscape in Turkey, what do you believe are the biggest challenges facing journalists today?

Fatih Altaylı

The challenges are immense. From political pressure to censorship, journalists often find themselves in difficult positions. There is a fear that permeates the industry; many feel that expressing the truth could lead to severe consequences. It's crucial for journalists to maintain integrity and keep fighting for the truth, despite the hurdles.

You are also known for your advocacy work, particularly with the 'Haydi Kızlar Okula' campaign. Can you tell us more about it and why it’s close to your heart?

Fatih Altaylı

Education is a fundamental right, and I believe it’s essential to empower girls through education. The 'Haydi Kızlar Okula' campaign resonates with me because it addresses gender inequality in education. It’s imperative that we support initiatives that encourage girls to pursue their studies and fulfill their potential. We cannot afford to leave anyone behind.

Your career has not been without controversies. How do you deal with the criticism and pressures that come from being a public figure?

Fatih Altaylı

Criticism is part of being in the public eye. I’ve faced my share of backlash, but I try to focus on constructive feedback. I think it’s important to stand by your principles and not let negativity influence your work. Ultimately, I believe in the power of dialogue and understanding.

As you look ahead, what are you most excited about in your career? Any future projects or aspirations you'd like to share?

Fatih Altaylı

I’m currently working on several projects, including content for my YouTube channel and my website. I want to continue engaging with my audience in new ways, discussing pressing issues and sharing insights. I’m excited about the possibilities and will continue to advocate for transparency and education in journalism.
