Good evening everyone! Tonight, Gemma and I are taking you on a whirlwind journey… a backpacking trip through Thailand that went slightly off the rails!

p

Gemma

Slightly off the rails? Leo, you nearly got eaten by a monkey!

d

Leo

It was a small monkey, Gemma, barely bigger than a chihuahua! And the jungle… oh, the jungle. I swear I saw a tree that looked suspiciously like it was judging me.

p

Gemma

And the mosquitos! They were like tiny, blood-sucking helicopters.

d

Leo

Then there was the monk… and his cryptic message. He wrote it all down… in Thai. Anyone here speak Thai? (Pauses for audience response)

p

Gemma

I tried to translate it using Google Translate. It said something about 'winning the lottery' and 'avoiding coconuts'.

d

Leo

The 'hidden temple'... turned out to be a rather well-camouflaged public restroom. The prophecy was less mystical, more… inconvenient.

p

Gemma

But the experience taught us a lot, didn't it? About the importance of proper map reading, for example.

d

Leo

And about always packing enough mosquito repellent! And maybe learning a few basic phrases in the local language.

p

Gemma

And never trust a monkey offering you a banana. They're always plotting something. Thank you all for coming!
