Hey everyone, I'm Mike, and I just started as an insurance agent! I’m excited to make my first cold call. Nothing can go wrong… right?

p

Chris

Ah, the optimism of youth! Reminds me of the time I thought I could fix my own plumbing after watching one YouTube video. Spoiler alert: I called a plumber.

d

Mike

So I called this guy, right? I introduce myself, and he says, 'Not interested.' So I hang up... and forget to log it in my CRM.

p

Chris

Mike, forgetting to log calls is like forgetting your keys when you leave home. You’ll just keep getting locked out!

d

Mike

So, what do I do? I call him again an hour later! This time, I’m so pumped! 'Hi, this is Mike from Secure Future Insurance!'

p

Chris

And he says, 'You called me already! Stop wasting my time!' Mike, at this rate, you could sell him a policy just to make him hang up!

d

Mike

I try again the next day, and guess what? He picks up! 'Mike, buddy, you’ve called me THREE TIMES! At this point, I should be selling YOU insurance!'

p

Chris

You see, that’s a classic case of persistence... or as I like to call it, 'annoyance with a smile!'

d

Mike

So, has anyone else had a cold call disaster? Raise your hand if you've ever accidentally called the same person twice in one day!

p

Chris

Let’s face it, salespeople should get medals for the number of times they’ve made a fool of themselves on a call, right?

d

Mike

In the end, remember folks, laughter is the best policy… unless you’re trying to sell insurance!

p

Chris

And always log your calls in the CRM, or you might find yourself making friends you never wanted! Thanks for joining us!
