Hey everyone, welcome to this week's episode! Today, we’re diving into some nostalgia, talking about what we wanted to be when we grew up. I mean, who doesn’t love a good trip down memory lane? It’s just fascinating how our dreams change as we grow older. I remember, back in elementary school, I was convinced I was going to be a scientist. I had this whole idea of discovering new elements or something. How about you, Anna?

Oh, Leo! My dream was all over the place. At one point, I wanted to be a superhero, you know? I thought I could fly! Then I shifted to being a police officer because I wanted to fight crime. But then high school hit, and suddenly, I was more focused on making money and being successful. It’s wild how we think we know what we want, right?

Absolutely! Speaking of high school, I recall this hilarious moment when one of my buddies, he was eating at the cafeteria, and there was this whole drama over a toothpick. He ended up with it stuck in his food, and instead of freaking out, he just rolled with it. Can you believe that? I still crack up thinking about how he casually said, 'Well, guess the food's a little too sharp today!'

That’s hilarious! I have a story too! There was this one time I was trying to impress a boy in class, and I thought it would be cute to mimic a scene from a movie. I stood up on the table, only to realize the table wasn’t as sturdy as I thought! I went crashing down, and all I could think about was how embarrassing that was. But the silver lining? The entire class was in stitches, and even the boy I liked ended up laughing!

Oh man, those moments are priceless! You know, looking back at our childhood, it’s funny how those experiences shape us into who we are today. All those silly incidents, the dreams that seemed so grand at the time, they make me realize the importance of just enjoying those moments. What do you think shaped you the most during those years?

g

Anna

Definitely the friendships I made! Those late-night talks about dreams and the silly things we did, they built a community around us that made growing up a bit easier. Even when I think about the awkward phases we went through, like when I decided to chop my hair off in a fit of rebellion! It’s all part of the journey, right? And it brings us to where we are now, still laughing and reminiscing.

Exactly! And now, when we look back, it’s like, those were the days, huh? I think it’s essential to keep some of that childlike wonder as we grow older. I mean, I still sometimes feel like a kid inside, especially when I hear a school bell ring! Sometimes I even daydream about what it would be like to go back to those carefree times.

Right? I wonder what it would be like to have a do-over, but honestly, I think all those experiences, even the embarrassing ones, have taught me so much. Like how to laugh at myself and not take life too seriously. Those lessons are priceless. Plus, it makes for great stories, like the one you mentioned earlier about food and toothpicks!
